Description: There is widespread agreement that life-cycle costs (LCC) must include not only initial construction and materials costs but also the costs of maintenance. The present report, compiled by Applied Research Associates, Inc., presents useful guidelines and a spreadsheet model to develop realistic LCC cost procedures for concrete block pavements. In addition, it contains pavement design, maintenance and rehabilitation procedures to document the LCC of interlocking concrete block pavements as compared with flexible and rigid pavements.
