Description: Petroleum coke, or pet coke, has been a troublesome waste product since the earliest days of oil refining. In recent years, the cement industry has successfully used this waste material as fuel replacement for coal, and in doing so has provided an environmental benefit as well as reduced energy costs for cement production. This 10-page annotated bibliography includes journal articles, conference papers, reports, and patents, highlighting research and case studies that have been undertaken in the last decade on this increasingly common and successful application.
