Provided is a description of the structural framing and why concrete was chosen to satisfy the needs of the project. Sold in packs of 25.
Healthcare buildings include, but are not limited to, hospitals, cancer centers, R&D facilities, and laboratory buildings. Such buildings house a variety of services and amenities ranging from basic operating and recovery rooms to advanced clinical research and testing laboratories housing advanced equipment and machinery. Such equipment often requires substantial framing and foundations and in some cases needs radiation shielding that frequently challenges A/Es with complicated MEP systems in limited available space. Concrete is frequently employed in healthcare construction because of the wide array of shallow floor framing systems available that can be incorporated to maximize the ceiling cavity while maintaining stringent vibration control and fire rating criteria.
