Scanning Tour Looks at Prefab Options
FHWA has released a summary report of the April 2004 Prefabricated Bridge Elements & Systems Scanning Tour of Japan & Europe. The goal was to study prefabricated bridge systems that minimize traffic disruption, improve work-zone safety, minimize environmental impacts, improve constructability, increase quality, and lower life-cycle costs.
