The $100 million, one million-square-foot project includes two adjacent towers rising from a shared footprint. Combined, the 33-story north tower and the 15-story south tower feature 252 hotel guestrooms, 150 luxury residences, a spa and fitness center, an upscale steakhouse, and the trendy Vegas-style Ghostbar.

"We wanted it to be eco-friendly," said Parlin's president, Steve Kruse, "and ICF walls were a big part of that effort."

Construction of the 1.2 million-square-foot Denver Convention Center Hotel is well underway, with completion slated for the end of December 2005. The new hotel rises 438 feet and is the first high-rise building to be constructed in the downtown Denver area in many years.

The entertainment complex features an aquarium, a museum, the Rainforest Pyramid, an IMAX theater, a 9-story hotel, and an artificial white-sand beach. A new hotel expansion was constructed to keep up with the ever growing needs of the rapidly expanding Moody Gardens complex.

The Hilton Americas hotel is strategically located adjacent to the newly expanded George R. Brown Convention Center and the new Toyota Center. In addition to filling the need for nearby guestrooms, the hotel’s meeting and banquet space supplement the conference and exposition facilities of the convention center to create a fully integrated convention facility.

The 369- room, 14-story, 250,000-square-foot concrete hotel tower rises to a height of 150 feet over the single story, 50,000-square-foot steel-framed conference center. The total building floor area is over 300,000 square feet.

The 15-story Marriott at Rivercenter exemplifies the beauty, functionality, and economy that can be achieved with concrete framing. Construction of the hotel began in 1997 and was completed in 1998 at a total cost of $18 million.
