500 feet of ocean-front property, protecting the local environment
was important. "We wanted it to be eco-friendly,"
said Parlin's president, Steve Kruse, "and ICF walls
were a big part of that effort." |

The $43 million Waterfront Marriott Hotel is an essential
component of the downtown Seattle revitalization plan “inviting
back” the public to the Port of Seattle as a place to
live, work, and play. Opened in 2003, the hotel plays a key

structure is a first-class, full-service hotel. The hotel’s

new casino to hit the shores of Atlantic City in 13 years. The
4.1 million-square-foot complex comprises an impressive hotel
tower, a sizeable low-rise casino and spa, and a 5300-vehicle

Denver, Colorado
Construction of the 1.2 million-square-foot Denver Convention
Center Hotel is well underway, with completion slated for
the end of December 2005. The new hotel rises 438 feet and
is the first high-rise building to be constructed in the downtown
Denver area in many years. |

an aquarium, a museum, the Rainforest Pyramid, an IMAX theater,
a 9-story hotel, and an artificial white-sand beach.
A new hotel expansion was constructed to keep up with the ever
growing needs of the rapidly expanding Moody Gardens complex.

located adjacent to the newly expanded George R. Brown Convention

the convention center to create a fully integrated convention

tower rises to a height of 150 feet over the single story, 50,000-square-foot
steel-framed conference center. The total building floor area

The 15-story Marriott at Rivercenter exemplifies the beauty,
functionality, and economy that can be achieved with concrete
framing. Construction of the hotel began in 1997 and was completed
in 1998 at a total cost of $18 million. |
