The PCA engineering staff is prepared to assist building team members
in preparing preliminary designs and quantity estimates for buildings
and special structures (stadiums, airports, etc.) PCA feasibility studies
will help you in demonstrating the advantages of concrete structural framing
of these projects. These benefits extend beyond the economics to areas
such as building safety, security and sustainability.

Which projects would qualify?
Projects submitted must be significant for the area where they will be
constructed. General guildlines are: size, trend-setting characteristics,
and importance to allied industry.
Projects not meeting the above criteria can still be submitted, and a
preliminary design may be performed, based on available resources at the
time.
Materials to be submitted to PCA
- "Information for Feasibility Study" form below
- Framing plan of the project, plus elevations and sections, if available
Materials provided by PCA
- Most economical concrete floor system as well as lateral load resisting
system
- Preliminary member sizes
- Quantity estimates for concrete and reinforcing steel
