Mission Statement
The purpose of the Alliance for Concrete Codes and Standards (ACCS) is to monitor, review, assess and coordinate industry positions on provisions and proposed changes under consideration by national codes and standards writing organizations and to identify research required to support ACCS positions.

Membership
There are two categories of membership, organizational and corresponding. Organizational membership is available to any association or organization which represents producers, manufacturers, distributors, contractors or laborers of concrete, and others having a legitimate interest in the development and maintenance of the provisions of the International Building Code and other codes and standards which affect concrete may be elected to organizational membership in the Alliance by a majority vote of the members present at any annual or special meeting of the members. Corresponding membership is available to any person, individually or as a designated representative of a firm or organization engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or construction of concrete, having a legitimate interest in the development and maintenance of the provisions of the International Building Code and other codes and standards which influence concrete, may be elected to corresponding membership in the Alliance by a majority vote of the members present at any annual or special meeting of the members.

Meetings
ACCS generally meets twice a year. Meetings are scheduled in a fashion to allow the best opportunities to consider code change proposals of the national model building codes, both being on an eighteen month cycle.
