State Codes

Building Code: State Fire Marshal Act is based on 2000 IBC and is mandatory for state owned buildings. (http://uniweb.legislature.ne.gov/LegalDocs/view.php?page=s7164005000)
Energy Code: Nebraska Building Energy Conservation Standard is based on the 2003 IECC and is applicable to all buildings, except state-owned and state-funded buildings which must comply with Nebraska Legislative Bill 888. Local jurisdictions may amend the code to make it more stringent.
Fire Prevention: Nebraska State Fire Code Regulations Title 153 based on 2003 NFPA 1. Local jurisdictions may amend the code to make it more stringent.
Life Safety: Nebraska State Fire Code Regulations Title 156 based on 2002 NFPA 101 is applicable to all buildings except one- and two-family dwellings.
Residential Code: None.
Res. Energy Code: Nebraska Building Energy Conservation Standard is based on the 2003 IECC and is applicable to all buildings, except state-owned and state-funded buildings which must comply with Nebraska Legislative Bill 888. Installers are limited to masonry and concrete contracting firms. Steelworkers that set reinforcement, carpenters that erect formwork, and other related trades are not included.
Direct employment is for those establishments described as manufacturers and installers. Indirect employment includes professionals and trades and services personnel required to support direct employees (retailers, school teachers, doctors, etc.).
Annual revenues are approximations of those generated from sales taxes, income taxes, real estate taxes, etc. applicable in the specific state.
