Decorative Concrete Flooring

The home features decorative concrete flooring in both the house and the garage. The first step is to place the concrete slab.

The topping is finished by floating and troweling the surface. Color can be added to concrete in three ways: integral color throughout the concrete, color pigments troweled into the surface, and stains brushed into the surface.

Decorative concrete at the Count on Concrete Show Home used both integral color and stains.

In the garage, workers float the colored concrete in preparation for applying decorative treatments such as stamps that add texture.

For the house floor, workers finish- trowel the colored concrete. Patterns will be created by saw cuts and stains.
The centerpiece is a compass graphic stained into the textured and colored concrete floor.

A staiFor more ned border and diamond-shaped accents set off the textured surface.

Once finished, the floor is sealed and waxed.
