Cast stone is a highly refined building material manufactured from a mixture of portland cement, coarse aggregates and fine aggregates to simulate natural cut stone. Cast stone can be used to make, among other things, fireplaces, mantels, hearths and columns. Cast stone can be precast or poured on site.
Because concrete is so versatile, your design options are nearly endless. Stains, colored aggregates and special molds can help homebuilders and homeowners achieve numerous colors.
Concrete mantels and fireplaces add a touch of class and prestige to any interior. As homeowners are looking for more natural environments in their homes, cast stone gives them the look of real stone, brick and even wood.
