Breland & Farmer Designers
The current president of the firm, Edsel Breland, founded Breland & Farmer Designers, Inc. in 1973. The energy crisis that followed shortly afterward influenced the company's philosophy to design homes that were energy efficient. Working with government agencies and private industry, Breland & Farmer designed the prototypes that have become the models for energy efficient home design. An important component of the portfolio of plans are the ICF designs because they are both energy efficient and durable.
Breland draws on southern heritage of the area to create home designs that offer the comfort and nostalgia of the past with the efficiency and convenience of the future. Each plan is carefully designed to make maximum use of floor space, arranged for today's lifestyles and then wrapped in a facade that is comforting to come home to.
