Boise

ICF forms were utilized to build a new custom home on the north side of Boise. The Triple Ridge Place house was constructed in 1999.

Architects in the Boise area were able to tour a new custom home as it was being built with "the new industry standard" of insulating concrete form walls. Designers came by the project on the east side of town to learn framing methods common to commercial construction. These methods were beginning to be applied to single family home construction.

This house uses ICF walls and is another "concrete home" in the Boise metropolitan area.

Nampa

When contractors build homes for themselves, more and more of them choose ICFs for the benefits of solid wall construction. In Nampa, the owner of Trademark Homes started a search for improved framing methods in the early 1990's. George Betts selected a brand of insulating concrete forms and decided to build a new home for his family first, to assess construction speed and efficiency. He also wanted to experience living in a home with ICF walls before offering these homes to the public. For an added thermal barrier under the slab-on-grade concrete floor, Trademark installed a layer of fine volcanic cinder as a base material.

The years since then have convinced George Betts, President of Trademark Homes, that ICF construction is a superior way to build homes.

Post Falls

The summer of 2000 brought more ICF housing starts than ever before. The homeowner, who is in the construction industry but didn't have experience with ICFs, preferred ICFs over traditional framing and selected Evan Ferguson Concrete to install the ICF walls.

Rexburg

Eastern Idaho also has builders that offer higher quality construction than the minimum allowed by the building code.
