2001 Safe Haven Show Home
Concrete Home > Show Homes > 2001 Safe Haven Show Home

The Portland Cement Association (PCA) will once again sponsor a concrete show home at the International Builders Show in Atlanta. The home will incorporate a number of concrete products, including insulating concrete form (ICF) exterior walls, an ICF safe room, a structural hollow-core floor system, decorative flatwork, concrete retaining walls, and a portland cement stucco exterior finish. The concrete for the project is being provided by Blue Circle Materials and Thomas Concrete. Other sponsors of the home include the Georgia Concrete & Products Association and the Southeast Cement Shippers Association. HOME magazine is the media sponsor for the home.

The nearly 6,000 square foot-home was designed by prominent Atlanta architect Bill Harrison of Harrison Design Associates and will be constructed by Stan Benecki of Benecki Builders, Ltd. Will Oliver of Polysteel Southeast will be the contractor for the ICF walls and safe room. The home is being built in the prestigious Buckhead area of Atlanta.

As in years past, the Safe Haven Home will be open for tours during the International Builders Show, which takes place February 9th through 12th at the Georgia World Congress Center. PCA and the other project partners will sponsor a number of other events and tours throughout 2000 and 2001.
