Donn Thompson

Donn C. Thompson, AIA, CGP, LEEP AP, is Director of Low Rise Buildings for the Portland Cement Association (PCA) with responsibility for developing and implementing PCA’s Low Rise Buildings Program.

He will oversee all PCA activities to expand the use of cement-based products in low rise residential and commercial construction, and assure coordination with national material allies. In addition, Thompson plays an active role in the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Home Building Council.

He received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture degrees from University of Illinois, Chicago.

A licensed architect, Donn Thompson has more than 20 years experience in commercial and residential construction, including an earlier technical support role at PCA. Prior to his return to the association, he was the commercial projects manager for Reward Wall Systems, where he was responsible for promotion of insulating concrete form (ICF) technology to commercial markets nationwide. While as business development manager at Owens Corning/Lite Form International, Thompson provided on-site ICF technical support for U.S. and Canadian homebuilders.
