This 2-day course provides an in-depth discussion of the supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) currently utilized in concrete. In addition to developing the properties of fly ash, slag, silica fume, and other natural pozzolans, this course introduces the benefit of ternary blends and how SCMs can be used in concrete to enhance freeze-thaw durability, improve corrosion and resistance, and control ASR and sulfate attack.
