In recognition of the importance of concrete, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper declared April 29 as "Concrete Day" throughout the state.

In a statement, the Gov. Hickenlooper noted that "the industry is an important contributor to Colorado's infrastructure and economy. We look forward to celebrating Concrete Day at the Capitol every year."
