Recognized for Outstanding Contribution to Concrete Education

March 27, 2017, WASHINGTON, D.C. – Portland Cement Association (PCA) Senior Director of Structural Engineering & Codes Larry Novak has been awarded the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Education Award.  Presented at the ACI Spring Convention in Detroit, the award is in recognition of Novak’s volunteer efforts and contributions to the organization’s educational activities.

"We congratulate Larry on earning this prestigious award, and thank ACI for recognizing him," said PCA President and CEO James G. Toscas.  "Besides being a structural engineering expert, Larry has consistently been one of the most highly-rated educators in the cement and concrete field.  He is a tremendous asset to PCA and to the industry as a whole."

The ACI Education Award was established in 2015 to recognize individuals who have made notable contributions to the advancement of ACI Education or educational support activities. Novak’s award also cited his “unique ability to convey concrete knowledge through energetic and interactive presentations geared toward inspiring others to greater heights.”
