New PCA Notes Covers Changes in Building Code

EB708 CoverSKOKIE, Ill.—Now in its tenth edition, PCA Notes on ACI 318-08 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete with Design Applications provides detailed coverage of the provisions in ACI 318-08, placing emphasis on “how-to-use” the code.

Aimed at engineers and architects, PCA Notes chapters summarize code changes introduced in the Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete, ACI 318-08, and Commentary, ACI 318R-08.   The manual’s discussions include reorganized and expanded requirements for earthquake-resistant structures, and for durability of concrete structures.  Enhanced provisions for the design of anchors are also described.

Numerous design examples illustrate application of the code provisions.

PCA Notes is a valuable aid to educators, undergraduate and graduate students, contractors, materials and product manufacturers, building code authorities, and inspectors.

For more information on the publication, visit the PCA Bookstore at www.cement.org/bookstore.  Orders can also be placed by calling 800.868.6733.
