SKOKIE, Ill. - The Portland Cement Association (PCA) announced the launch of the “Concrete Thinking” e-newsletter, a new resource for architects, engineers, and members of the building industry interested in sustainable development. The free e-newsletter provides the latest news and information about the environmental benefits of building with cement-based products, as well as real-world examples of putting the products into use.
“Concrete Thinking” is distributed six times a year. Current and previous issues are housed at PCA’s online resource for sustainable development, www.ConcreteThinker.com.
“PCA is committed to providing a wide range of tools that illustrate the advantages cement-based products offer for energy efficiency, durability and reducing overall energy consumption,” said David Shepherd, director of sustainable development for the Portland Cement Association. “The e-newsletter will work in tandem with ConcreteThinker.com to educate the building industry about the value of cement-based applications in environmentally responsible construction.”
Each edition of the “Concrete Thinking” e-Newsletter includes:
- Up-to-date news and trends on issues related to concrete and sustainable development.
- Case studies about upcoming or existing projects that use cement-based materials in innovative ways.
- Facts and tutorials about implementing cutting-edge, sustainable applications.
