SKOKIE, Ill.—Portland Cement Association (PCA) named John M. Prentice to the newly created position of vice president of industry liaison. Prentice will be responsible for coordinating the alignment of regional and national programs.
Key to those activities will be the successful alignment of the Regional Promotion Groups (RPGs) into PCA. Additionally, he will serve as liaison between PCA and major national allied associations.
Prentice has a strong management and marketing background in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. He most recently was director of marketing and interim president for the Window and Door Manufacturers Association. Additionally, he served as the director of marketing for the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI) where his responsibilities included oversight of CRSI’s regional operations.
He has held a number of high-level management positions for organizations in the steel industry including the start up and full profit and loss responsibility as president of a steel fabricating company.
Prentice is a member of several industry committees for the American Society of Testing and Materials, the American Concrete Institute, and the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
He received his Bachelor of Arts and at the University of Alabama, Florence, and his MBA degree from Regis University, Denver, Colo.
