Definitive Concrete Technology Reference Guide Available in Print, CD

SKOKIE, Ill.—Newly updated in 2008, Design and Control of Concrete Mixtures is the definitive reference on concrete technology.

Now in its 14th edition, the manual has been extensively revised and expanded.  It addresses the fundamentals on freshly mixed and hardened concrete including materials, air-entrainment, mix and curing procedures, hot- and cold-weather concreting, commonly used control tests for quality concrete and many more.

New chapters include information on supplementary cementing materials, fibers, and high-performance concrete. Revised technical information is based on the latest ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI specs and standards, which are referenced extensively.

This comprehensive manual benefits personnel from ready-mixed concrete producers, concrete contractors, inspection and testing organizations, material suppliers, consultants, and others from related industries.

In addition to the popular print version, the manual is also available in searchable CD form.   The electronic version includes a comprehensive glossary, links to cement and concrete resources on the Internet web and metric conversion program.  Users can access 170 research reports and relevant Web sites.   In addition, PowerPoint slides are available as a training element for each of the book’s 18 chapters.
