U.S. and Canadian cement industries were honored at the third annual
Promotion Progress Awards, March 2, 2004, at Chicago Marriott O'Hare.
The award program acknowledges outstanding efforts in promoting
cement and concrete products.
This year, a panel of judges selected eight winners
from 20 nominees. New this year is a category for sustainable development.
Two of the winners, one from Canada and one from the United States,
received the sustainable development award.

and energy beyond regular responsibilitiesin order to achieve important
promotional goals. They represent outstanding examples of promotion
in the areas of paving, residential, roller-compacted concrete,
soil cement, and buildings.
