Many other trade associations support the cement industry by organizing users and advocating concrete for particular segments of the construction market. As with PCA, they are a source of help and information for concrete promoters. Here are a few of the industry associations with which PCA is most closely allied:

ACI is a scientific and educational society representing the interests of concrete users concerned with the design, construction, or maintenance of concrete structures. Conventions and meetings; monthly periodicals and special publications; chapter activities; and technical committees all provide a forum for concrete interests to discuss problems relating to concrete.

CAC represents all of Canada's cement producers and importers. CAC's aim is to improve and extend the uses of cement and concrete through market development, research, codes and standards, and government affairs work. The Cement Kiln Recycling Coalition (CKRC) is a Washington, D.C.-based trade association which represents U.S. cement companies currently using waste-derived fuels, as well as those companies involved in the collection, processing, management, and marketing of such fuels for use in cement kilns. CKRC member companies make a uniquely valuable contribution to the protection of human health and the environment by recovering energy from wastes in a manufacturing process which has been proven to be safe, while conserving non-renewable fossil fuels and complying with EPA's most stringent waste combustion regulations.

CRSI's objectives are to foster and increase the use of reinforced concrete construction, conduct research, and disseminate information on materials to be used in such construction. The Concrete Sawing & Drilling Association is a nonprofit trade association of contractors, manufacturers and affiliated members from the construction and renovation industry. The CSDA mission is to promote the selection of professional sawing and drilling contractors and their methods. Sawing and drilling with diamond tools offers industry many benefits including lower total project costs, precision cutting, maintenance of structural integrity, reduced downtime, reduced noise, dust and debris, limited access cutting and the ability to cut heavily-reinforced concrete. Founded in 1972, CSDA has 500 international member companies.

CIMA represents the producers of construction equipment as well as construction industry services worldwide. It provides a full range of product-specific and industry-wide services to help member companies enhance their bottom line, in areas including statistical data exchanges; technical-related programs; market development and promotion; safety and education; parts, service and training issues; input into the governmental legislative and regulatory process; and trade show and international exhibit pavilion activities. CIMA is the producer of the CONEXPO® International Construction Equipment Exposition, and has joined with the organizers of the CON/AGG exposition to establish the CONEXPO-CON/AGG exposition of machinery and services for the construction, aggregates and ready mixed concrete industries.

Council for Masonry Research
The Council for Masonry Research was formed to fulfill the need for an organization to lead and assist development of material and construction oriented research designed to increase and preserve markets. The Council represents diverse interests from within the masonry industry . Through its contributing members, it has sponsored and actively participated in both industry and federally funded research while also providing technical support for research programs.
