Pavement Engineer

The Portland Cement Association – Northwest Regional Office, is looking for an engineer to manage the streets and local roads, soil cement, and parking lot paving promotion program in the northwest region (OR, WA, ID, MT) with a focus in Oregon. This is a newly created position offering personal growth and a challenging environment. The purpose of the position is to increase market share for concrete pavement and other cement products by assisting public and private consultants with design and construction. The desired candidate will possess:

A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a specialty in pavement design, geotechnical, or materials engineering.
Oregon PE license.
Three years of experience in design and construction of pavements and/or pavement base materials. Marketing or business development experience preferred.
Proficient computer skills with advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, Power Point, and internet applications.
Must be a self-starter, creative, persistent, enthusiastic, and have the ability to work with limited supervision.
Ability to travel approximately 25% -50%

The candidate will be working out of his/her home office, preferably located in the Portland or Salem area.
