PCA Technical Research
PCA
has been doing research on cement and cement products since
it was founded in 1916. The research and development (R&D)
projects provide support to PCA's advocacy programs, technology
programs, market development programs, and programs of the
American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA), the Cement
Association of Canada (CAC), and allied industry groups.
Projects are developed by PCA, CAC and
ACPA standing committees. The R&D Work Programs Committee,
which is made up of representatives
of all PCA standing committees, prioritizes projects, recommends
funding, and monitors progress of the research program.
Current Research Projects
PCA currently has more than 70 research
projects in its core program. The value of PCA's active projects
(multi-year) is more than $7 million. PCA research dollars are
often matched equally by allied industry and government agencies.
