Entry Checklist
  • Select the most appropriate award category (PCA reserves the right to re-assign entries based on content
  • Include your name and contact information (title, address, phone/fax, e-mail) and the nominees contact information in the entry heading.
  • Write a 20-25 word Summary of the nominee’s contributions to sustainable development that utilize concrete or cement-based products or systems.
  • Explain in a 1,000 words or less Nomination how the nominee’s policies or actions promoted the use of concrete and/or other cement-based products. Include:
    • The sustainability-focused policy or project for which the nominated official should be recognized.
    • The beneficial outcomes or expected outcomes of the policies or projects.
    • For the individual award: How a policy resulted in achievements in the three tiers of sustainability: economic responsibility; environmental responsibility; and social responsibility.
    • For the project award: The unique aspects of the project, for example, site-specific challenges that were overcome.
    • Any other examples of superior environmental performance policies undertaken or promoted by this individual
  • Include Supporting Materials such as photographs, articles and information about other Awards the individual has won in the sustainability arena.
    • All Supporting Materials should be clearly marked with the name, location, the subject, date, and any other relevant information.
    • The Nomination should also reference any associated Supporting Materials.
  • Organize your entry in the following sequence: Summary, Nomination
  • Label the award entry and supporting material files with your last name and initials and the Nominees last name. For example: jdoe_bclinton.doc; jdoe_bclinton_building1.jpg
  • All entries must be submitted electrically via www.cement.org/sustainableleaders/....
  • All entries must be submitted by 5 pm Central time, Friday, May 30, 2008.
