Concrete in Transit Awards Program
The
Concrete In Transit Awards Program is held every two years to honor
excellence in the design and construction of concrete transit and
rail projects. Eligible entries are those involving transit rail,
commuter rail, intercity rail, bus, bus rapid transit, or paratransit
facilities. New construction, line extensions, and rehabilitation
projects qualify.
The projects are reviewed by a jury of professionals in the transit
and rail industry who decide upon the winning entries based upon
aesthetics, creativity, economics, functionality, and transferability.
Awards are presented at both American Concrete Institute (CI) and
American Public Transportation Association (APTA) conferences.
