Greg Halsted, P.E., is the Manager of Pavement and Geotechnical Markets for PCA. He is responsible for expanding market share for use of portland cement in all paving and engineered cement applications including conventional concrete, roller‐compacted concrete, pervious concrete, cement-modified soils, cement‐treated base, full‐depth reclamation, slurry trenches, flowable fill, deep soil mixing, and waste solidification/stabilization.
Halsted has over 20 years of experience in the use of cement in the pavements, geotechnical, and concrete industry. He has knowledge of planning, design, materials testing, and construction; has participated in numerous training and construction workshops involving State and Provincial transportation agencies, Public Works departments, Universities, material suppliers, and consulting firms; and has authored several publications related to cement and concrete construction. He currently serves as a committee member of Transportation Research Board (TRB) AFF30 - Concrete Bridges, AFD50 - Design and Rehabilitation of Concrete Pavements, and AFS80 - Stabilization of Geomaterials and Recycled Materials.
Halsted holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University, and is a licensed engineer in the state of Georgia. Prior to joining PCA, he held civil and geotechnical engineering positions with the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute and the Georgia Department of Transportation.
