The COVID-19 global pandemic has created uncertainty in the American electoral environment. Each state must make the best decision on how to proceed with primary voting; in fact, many states have already made adjustments.
To date, there are sixteen states that have delayed primaries or have accommodated voting by mail: Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Wyoming.
