SPECIAL REPORT:

Attitudes & Perceptions Study: Soil Cement, FDR and RCC Pavement Market

Paving Long Term

PCA’s Market Intelligence Group conducted a market research survey targeting decision makers’ attitudes and perception in the soil cement, FDR & RCC pavement markets. The study was performed in conjunction with Roads & Bridges Magazine.

The findings of the report reflect a favorable position for cement across the board from competing base and subbase materials to flexible pavement reconstruction.  Awareness of cement and concrete-based pavement systems has grown significantly since the study was last executed in 2005.  Respondents indicated they are using cement and concrete applications more than in prior surveys and their likelihood to recommend these systems has grown in tandem with their increased use.  The study also revealed that paving professionals expect growth over the next five years in cement-based pavement systems to a larger degree than participants in the 2005 study.
