The Portland Cement Association promotes excellence and ingenuity in the industry by conferring annual awards in several categories. PCA members are eligible to apply.
Energy & Environment Awards
The Energy & Environment Awards recognize outstanding environmental and community relations achievements that help to move the needle on PCA’s industry-wide sustainability goals.
The 2024 Energy & Environment Awards were granted for efforts implemented in 2023.
PCA John P. Gleason Jr., Leadership Award
The Gleason Awards honor individual employees of PCA members who have exhibited industry leadership by advancing PCA programs and initiatives. Awards are given in three categories: business continuity, market development, and young leadership.
PCA Chairman’s Safety Performance Awards
The Chairman’s Safety Performance Awards recognize outstanding safety performance records in manufacturing portland cement—concrete’s core ingredient. Winners are selected among facilities across the U.S. that have demonstrated the highest safety standards.
PCA Safety Innovation Awards
To elevate the importance of safety programs inside and outside the industry, the Safety Innovation Awards recognize and reward creative solutions to safety challenges in cement facilities. Companies submit projects that a panel of judges from member companies, NGOs in the mining sector, and the Mine Safety and Health Administration evaluate.
The awards honor innovative practices, programs, and projects and communicate winning ideas among member companies.
