SKOKIE, Ill.--On April 29, the Portland Cement Association (PCA) recognized four cement terminals which had the best safety records in the United States.  The companies were honored at PCA’s Spring Meeting in Chicago.

For U.S. operations, three categories of terminals, based on employee work hours, were considered for this prestigious award.

The terminals honored were:

  • St. Marys Cement Company, Marysville, Ohio—5,000 to 9,000 employee hours

  • St. Marys Cement Company, Manitowoc, Wis.—More than 9,000 employee hours

“Employees at these facilities work to continuously improve safety and health conditions and set high standards that promote safety and health protection throughout the year,” said Gregory Scott, PCA president and CEO.
