MIT Research Outreach Materials Available

The Think Harder. Concrete web site now includes support materials addressing research reports released by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Concrete Sustainability Hub.

The one-page fact sheets and talking points summarize findings from MIT's work on the life-cycle assessment (LCA) of pavements, LCA of buildings, and life-cycle cost analysis of pavements. Also available are general information about The Hub and links to the complete reports.

Design and Control of Concrete Mixtures

Design and Control of Concrete Mixtures has been the cement and concrete industry's primary reference on concrete technology, since PCA published the first U.S. edition in the early 1920s.

The current course, based on this industry standard, reflects the latest advances in concrete technology. The result: a fast-paced, eLearning program, developed especially for ready-mix concrete personnel who need fundamental yet practical concrete knowledge.

The course consists of more than 16 hours of instruction covering materials for concrete, mixing, transporting, placing, finishing, curing, and designing and proportioning concrete.
