American Cement Association’s Statement Regarding Advancement of the BUILD America 250 Act

May 26, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 22, 2026) — The American Cement Association’s (ACA) Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Sean O’Neill issued the following statement regarding today’s committee vote on the BUILD America 250 Act.

“ACA commends Chairman Sam Graves and Ranking Member Rick Larsen for their exceptional leadership in advancing the BUILD America 250 Act through the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee today by a vote of 62-2. The Committee’s bipartisan action reflects the kind of principled cooperation that our members and communities across the country have been waiting for.

“ACA stands ready to use the momentum built by this committee vote to help deliver a long-term surface transportation reauthorization that is signed into law by the September 30 deadline. Cement and concrete are the backbone of America’s roads, bridges, tunnels, and transit systems — and a reauthorization would lead to more durable, resilient infrastructure that serves all Americans every day. We are committed to working alongside Chairman Graves, Ranking Member Larsen, and their colleagues in both chambers to see this through.”
