Ashlee Hossack
Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering, University of New Brunswick
2011 Recipient
Ashlee Hossack is an assistant professor of civil engineering at the University of New Brunswick.
Ms. Hossack’s 2011 Fellowship was on “Equivalent Performance and Sulfate Resistance with Portland Limestone Cement (PLC)” under the direction of Michael D. A. Thomas. This project was a major component of Dr. Hossack’s Ph. D. research completed at University of New Brunswick between 2010 and 2014. This work resulted in the publication of six journal articles and two conference proceedings and, eventually, in collaboration with other researchers, contributing to the advancement of portland-limestone cement in Canadian standards.
Dr. Hossack continues her work on concrete durability topics through active involvement in ACI, CSA, and ASTM committees on durability, aggregate reactions, and repair. In addition to committee involvement, Dr. Hossack is actively involved in several research projects on concrete durability and engineering consulting projects on durability and rehabilitation of concrete infrastructure.
