Terry C. Collins, Concrete Construction Engineer Terry
Collins is a concrete construction engineer in the concrete technology
department of PCA. He is responsible for answering a wide variety
of technical inquires regarding the use of cement and concrete products.
Every day, Collins fields concrete-related inquiries from homeowners,
contractors, ready-mixed concrete producers, architects, engineers,
university researchers, and anyone else who has a related question.
Collins brings extensive field experience to the position, having
actively placed concrete for 26 years, serving as labor, form setter,
concrete finisher, job foreman, job superintendent, and contractor.
He is active with the American Concrete Institute as a member of
committee ACI 306, Cold Weather Concreting.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the
South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSM&T), and is
currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering,
with a concrete emphasis, from SDSM&T.
