PCA Professors' Workshop

The PCA Professors' Workshop is scheduled for July 23-27, 2012 at the PCA headquarters in Skokie, Ill.

This format which includes sessions covering:

  • Concrete Materials Properties
  • Engineering and Economics of Concrete Buildings
  • Design, Construction, and Performance of Concrete Pavements
  • Design and Construction of Concrete Bridges by the AASHTO LRFD

2012 Workshop Information

The Professors’ Workshop is designed to provide faculty in engineering, architecture, and construction management programs the tools to teach the latest developments in concrete design, construction, and materials. The week-long session included networking opportunities to exchange ideas with professors from many universities, demonstrations by software vendors, and more than $1,500 of free resource materials.


Housing and General Information

The cost of registration for the Workshop is $395.00 and includes all hand-out materials, resource literature, shipping, lunches, receptions, and dinner on Wednesday night (July 25) at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Skokie. All payments are due prior to workshop.

The Workshop will be held at the PCA Headquarters in Skokie, Illinois.

Housing

Overnight accommodations can be made at the Hampton Inn, Skokie, Illinois (847.583.1111), which is located directly across from the PCA campus. The rate at the Hampton is $119.00 per night (plus tax). Reservations should be made directly with the hotels. To secure these special rates, participants must call the Hampton directly and mention that they are attending the “PCA Professor Workshop” by Friday, July 6, 2012. Transportation is provided from the hotels to all meeting locations.
