Workshop on Promotion for Full-Depth
Reclamation and Soil-Cement Pavements
December 11-12, 2007
Arlington, Texas
Purpose
The purpose of this workshop is to provide a forum for the cement
industry and related “stakeholders” (contractors and
equipment suppliers) to present and discuss promotion methods, learn
about the market potential of Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR) and Soil-Cement,
and discuss constraints and other issues related to product promotion.
Who Should Attend
Individuals involved with cement industry promotion of base/subbase
pavements, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
Workshop Format
The two-day workshop will primarily be in the format of short presentations
and follow-up discussions, in order to encourage the sharing of
ideas from all participants. Product reviews will be conducted to
provide background for those individuals not familiar with Full-Depth
Reclamation and Soil-Cement but who want to learn more. A comprehensive
training program will be conducted on PCA’s newly developed
software program on soil-cement base design (bring personal laptop
computer to actively participate in training). Finally, a construction
tour will be included to familiarize all participants with the construction
process.
