Association Representing U.S. Cement Manufacturing Industry Takes a New Name

Supporting the Industry for 100+ Years

Much has changed since the Portland Cement Association (now the American Cement Association) was founded in 1916. Today, emerging technologies, a more diverse workforce, increased worker safety, and an urgent focus on sustainability are driving our work as we support America’s cement manufacturers and the industry’s future. Together with our members, ACA is building a greener world and a strong national infrastructure.

What We Do

As America’s premier industry association for cement manufacturers and those that support them, the American Cement Association works across several areas of expertise: research and innovation, education, policy, and market intelligence.

    Advance Sustainability

    Introduced in 2021, the ACA Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality marks the first time that what has been referred to as a “hard to abate emissions sector” has come together to call for a unified approach toward decarbonization. The goal: a carbon-neutral industry by 2050, with major benchmarks and milestones by 2030 and 2040.
