The Chairman’s Safety Performance Awards recognize outstanding safety performance in the manufacturing of portland cement, the core ingredient used in all forms of concrete. The winners are selected from 98 cement facilities across the U.S. found to be the highest performers in safety.

The Safety Innovation Awards recognize creative safety-enhancing projects in the cement industry. The winners are determined by a panel of judges that evaluated innovative submissions from across the country in the following categories: distribution, pyroprocessing, general facility, and milling/grinding.
